- I'm a freelance writer. I write a monthly humor column called "The Metro Male" in the Grand Rapids Magazine. I won the title of the 2003 and 2004 Funniest Person in Grand Rapids after winning two consecutive stand-up comedy competitions. I have never ever eaten a bowl of cold cereal. I was once hit by a bulldozer and live to tell the tale. I know all the rules of Fight Club, but not in order. I never went to kindergarten.
