Frankly, I find it cut...

I'm no Superman apologist. Frankly, I find it cute when my daughter puts her underwear on over her pants and disturbing beyond words when anyone else does it, but D, please consider the following:

(1) Superman did not choose to come to the USA, or Earth for that matter. He was blasted here in his super disco rocket sled from a dying planet as a baby.

(2) One of the very first things he did (yes I recognize he's a fictional character), was lift up the busted down American made truck his adopted father was caught under.

(3) He had a job at a respectable newspaper. I expect that meant he got a W-2. That means he had a SSN.

(4) He drove a car - means he probably had a drivers license. Although there is no statistical evidence to support the notion that driver a car means one has a valid license. In fact, it's probably the other way around.

(5) He owned property - the fortress of solitude. Sure, he may have been adversely possessing it, or perhaps even squatting, but I'm sure he paid taxes on it so he could take the deductions.

(6) Aside from his identity, he did not hide from the law.

(7) In Superman II, he took and banished the other "illegals". Under your theory shouldn't he have started a protest group with them?

On the other hand, he thought Margot Kidder was hot. I take back everything I said. He's a dolt.

As an avid lover of both superheros and controllin...

As an avid lover of both superheros and controlling metaphors, I've got ot say that's just friggin' genius.

I wonder if our society would have been so welcomi...

I wonder if our society would have been so welcoming of Superman if he weren't a 6'2" handsome white guy.
